However please make sure it is refrigerated or frozen beyond this point.

8. HOW AND WHERE DO WE PREPARE THE FOOD?The fruits and vegetables used to prepare our meals are organic always, and fresh as much as possible (some might be frozen such as peas for instance). We have designed our menus to follow the seasons and be able to source them locally (read UK) as much as possible. We work very closely with our amazing supplier who fully embraces our vision and is going to great length to make it a reality. They also provide some of our whole fat organic dairy products such as milk, butter, cream and cheese. We insist on our meat to be organic as much as possible but as importantly, grass fed and/or free-range.
We cook every meal in our commercial kitchen on the day of delivery. At the last inspection (April 2017) from the Environmental Health Officer of Wandsworth Council, we were granted Level 5 in Food Hygiene and Safety.
Food will arrive chilled. With every order, you will be given a detailed sheet of storage and preparation instructions. Those are already available on each product description on the website.
9. HOW LONG DOES THE FOOD LAST?A use-by date will be provided on each jar. The meals must be chilled and can be kept refrigerated up to 72 hours from delivery.  Always check the use-by date on each jar for reference.  They can also be frozen up to 24 weeks from delivery date.
10. WHY DOESN’T OUR FOOD HAVE A LONGER SHELF-LIFE?We only use natural fresh ingredients and have no use whatsoever of any kind of preservatives, fillers, or colourants. Also we add no salt or sugar which are often heavily used for conservation. Finally, we do not submit the filled jars to any kind of high temperature pasteurization process either. Therefore, our products have a rather short shelf life.  However, they provide your child with optimal nutrition, flavours, colours and scents.
11. WHAT IS THE VOLUME OF FOOD PER CONTAINER AND AGE RANGE?
  • 6 to 8M - Purees / Diversity begins: 130g
  • 8 to 12M - Mash / Texture begins: 180g (usually about 160g of veg and 20g of proteins, if any)
  • 12 to 24M – Tiny bits / Crush time: 200g (usually about 180g with 20g of proteins, if any) - could be 180gg when pasta/rice/couscous/other grains is involved.
  • 2Y to 4Y – Fully textured and soft / Big Baby’s meal: 230g (usually about 200g with 30g of proteins, if any) - could be 200g when pasta/rice/couscous/other grains is involved.
  • 4Y to 6Y - 275g
  • 6Y to 11Y: 325g
  • ADULTS: 425g

12. WHAT ARE THE APPROPRIATE QUANTITIES FOR EACH AGE RANGE?We have designed our quantities according to the guidelines per meal of health authorities in the UK and in Europe. However, when it comes to appropriate quantities, it is important to always remember that children (unlike us adults) know how much to eat according to their needs, and so from their very first months. Therefore, let’s trust them! If they eat too much at one meal, they will certainly be less hungry when comes the next one. And if you feel that sometimes, they do not eat enough, try not to succumb to the temptation to compensate with snacks before it’s time for the next meal.
Please also note that solid food should never replace milk (breast or formula) as a source of nutrition unless otherwise instructed by your doctor. Always check with your doctor about your baby’s nutritional needs.
13. WHAT IF MY BABY/TODDLER HAS FOOD ALLERGY OR SENSITIVITIES?Our menu includes items free of dairy, eggs, soy, gluten and nuts. However, as we cook to order, please contact us via the chat on your account and order page after your order is completed to let us know about special requirements. We will then discuss how we could best accommodate. Also please note that while some of our meals will be free from these ingredients, they are produced in a facility where these ingredients may be used. We provide the full list of ingredients on the website and allergens are highlighted in bold.
